Carte blanche to Goswell Road from the CAN Centre d’art Neuchâtel as part of the NIFFF (Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival).

July 5 - 13, 2024

We present an overt intervention (1) and a more covert intervention (2) for our carte blanche in the city of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

(1) David Hoyle speaks to people as they leave the cinema, after a film during the festival, interrogating them. The performance will be filmed and a documentary film will be edited afterwards. David also takes part in part (2).

(2) 10 artists - Juanita Care, Archie Chekatouski, Michael Dean, Vava Dudu, Cécile B Evans, David Hoyle, Thien-Ngoc Ngo-Rioufol, Ruiz Stephinson, Laurence Sturla, & Philipp Timischl - are invited to submit images that are turned into standardised beermats that will be distributed in all of the bars, theatres, cinemas and bistros connected to the NIFFF for its duration. People are able to collect them, use them, destroy them, write phone numbers on them, make roaches with them, or just rip them to pieces, as is the want of the beermat user.
